Demineralizer Tubes for Power Plants

Make-up water for steam generation in power plants must be particle and mineral free so that the turbine blades remain efficient and clean. Most power plants use filter cartridges with resin coated on them to generate this quality of water.

Porous metal or metal mesh can be used very effectively to act as a platform for the resin beads. These work particularly well because the resin cake needs to be backwashed off and regenerated as water quality decreases.
