Reducing Energy Costs and Maintenance in Compressed Air Systems

An automotive assembly plant in Detroit was changing their coalescing filters in the compressed air system out twice a year at a cost of $36,000. Downtime and maintenance costs were reduced by using a pleated coalescing filter from Parker Finite. Yearly filter costs dropped $23,000 and the filters only required maintenance once a year. Energy savings were realized by reducing the amount of work the compressors had to do to push air through the filters.
